Last week I wrote about trying to get across the humanity of the folks who work here, the nature of our work as an extremely handcrafted process, and the sense of community and camaraderie that we miss in interacting through our little window and microphone. And we had some really nice feedback about that, notably from our friends at @heatherleafarm who have felt much the same. So here is a little note to say that being human, we make mistakes. This poor customer had her custom order botched twice this week. From the outside an order for six Sesame loaves with no sesame seeds sounds pretty easy. In practice it can be awfully hard to catch those loaves when we’re in the full swing of production, cutting, shaping, rolling in seeds, and basketing the loaves up, hundreds at a time. We got it right tonight, and by way of apology I made them extra-specially beautiful. 🌿. We are extremely thankful to the folks who handle our occasional slip-ups with grace and kindness, and we’re always happy when you have the fortitude to try again, or even three times! 😘😘😘
